In many organizations across the globe, leadership development has facilitated in expanding the capacity of individuals to perform in different leadership roles. Due to the importance of having appropriate leadership roles within an organization, it is imperative to build an alignment and grow the capabilities of others. To achieve this, it is significant that managers learn to improve on leadership skills such as negotiation, critical thinking, and effective listening among others. Therefore, this calls for constant professional development among the management of the business organization (Colquitt et al., 2011).
Employee Development
Helping employees shape their future has been neglected by many organization. To provide training for the present and future to employees is one of the most important pillars of an organization (Colquitt et al., 2011). In order to assist employees shape their future direction of their careers, I will in my capacity as a CEO ensure that employees receive proper training on emerging issues within their respective career lines. There will be a need to teach all employees to own their career development. Besides, the organization will aid to provide flexible learning options and ensure the existence of trust in organizational leadership.
