When as a customer we think about discount retail industry; one of the most renowned names occurs i.e. Primark. Primark has developed the industry into a successful leader under intense competitive market, and they have continues to set up the bar for each and every organisation. However, over couple of years, Primark’s sales growth has faced a down turn that has led to create major issue for the organisation. From the past few years; Primark has developed into double digit sales growth rate; still they are unable to compare from their past success. Now at present time, Primark is facing with the challenges for regaining the success that they were able to hold up previously.

Primark’s present operational and structural perception along with the necessary steps that needs to be taken by the company in order to increase their sales.
While in order to analyse how well Primark is positioned in achieving their intended purpose, there are several approaches that can be adopted while reviewing the external and internal factors and perspective of the organisation. Various models for organisational effectiveness has gone in an out of fashion, however the one that has persevered and that will be included in our study is McKinsey 7S framework. McKinsey 7S framework offers valuable tools in order to focus on various policies that are important for control and implementation purposes. The major objective of evaluating Primark on the basis of Mckinsey 7S is to ensure:
• Examining the effects of future challenges that will be faced by the organisation
• Improving the overall performance of the organisation
• Determining how proposed strategy will best work for the company

In relation to Primark, the organisation did not have any official documents that include the elaborated strategy till now. However for performing better, clear set and improve organisation responsibilities were the necessary part of Primark’s strategy.
The objective of Primark is to ‘provide products at affordable price range and highest quality’ and ‘to satisfy the customer while maintaining their trust with the store’. The organisation is also looking forwards to widen their portfolio for international customer and support their brand while increasing their advertising campaign and putting greater emphasis on environmental and health issue (Geller, 2014).
