Leadership At A Very Large Organization Essay

Working for a very large organization, you expect there to be some good level of leadership to help and direct you in the right way. I was under the impression that there was good leadership in the organization, but was shocked to learn that leadership was nothing close to this. The leadership team was not in any organized format to where the employees are able to go and get assistance. The one main person, who did not have any leadership skills, was my co-worker who I worked with on a daily basis. She was not aware of what was going on around her and focused all of her attention on what she was doing and needed. This caused a great deal of conflict with all of the employees as she was not one to offer assistance. With having a leadership role at any organization, one needs to be open to change and pay attention to what is going on around them.
With good leadership skills, you are able to communicate with employees at a better level and are able to offer assistance. This improvement of skill also shows support, understanding, and initiative towards change for the people in an organization. A lack of a good source of leadership at an organization leads to individuals to look elsewhere for employment. Due to feeling uncomfortable with the person you’re working with, it’s better to find employment with another organization.
