One of the most meaningful communities I’m a part of is my Castro Elementary school community, where I volunteer as a math tutor for at-risk elementary school students as part of the Buddies4Math program. Every Friday after school, I bike over from my high school to Castro, mentally bracing myself for the rowdy grade-schoolers that eagerly await me.
