For companies to be successful, teams and individuals must embrace and adapt to change. Everyone is doing more with less, and everything needs to be done yesterday. A leader knows how to lead and manage a project as well as to be participation. According to Gehring (2007), Meyers Brigg theory supports leadership traits as it relates to the competencies needed for project leadership and furthermore indicates that specific types such as INTJ, INFJ, and INTJ have the most preferences such as influencing others, personal effectiveness, and the ability to develop and coach others, which align and support project leadership (p. 47). In my experience, the traits may indicate those that would be stronger due to having many of the skills needed, however, each of the 16 personality traits have potential to be successful as a project leader.
