During my Pilate’s class this semester I felt a positive change in my body. Frist, I lost a lot of weight from exercising in class every week. Also, it helped release any tension in my body because I learn to stretch and move around. The most valuable lessons I learned in class is the 5 dos and don’ts workout. The two workouts that were beneficial to me were the standing and lifting because firstly, I would always stand improperly due to my previous broken ankle injury. I have a habit of leaning on one side, which caused my posture to be sore. Secondly, at work I am required to lift boxes full of printing paper to fill all the lab printers. The fast songs really helped me get in the zone and move different parts of my body. My experience I Zumba was amazing. At first I was insure about taking the class but once I started I was there and I began working out I was having so much fun trying to do the correct moves because everyone in the class has been going for a while so they professionals. Everyone was there to have fun not to compare how skilled they are. The dance routines were worked out all the muscles in the legs more than anywhere in my body. I felt the sting but I was very enthusiastic. The day after my legs were so sore but it was worth it. My hip area was getting worked out too because this shaking movements and the plunges. Zumba is a great way to gain work out and have fun. I don’t like going to the gym and working out because I get easily bored.
