Most of the fundamental movements in a Cardio Barre routine come from ballet movement (eg. First position and plie), the benefit would be similar to the ones ballet dancer gain. Benefits of exercise with the use of a barre, are allowing teach a person correct alignment by making every body part is correct position with the rest, resulting in a correct and fluent movement (Robertson 1967). Cardio Barre, will also include floor barre exercise which would include movement that lengthen the spine, legs, and allow for full range of motion. A pair of dancer who were returning back from a knee and back injury participated in floor exercise, which resulted in greater freedom in their movement in her spine and legs, while being able to stand up with
