1. I recently began working at Lemus Medical Center that has exposed me to variations of patient care as well as a fast paced medical office experience. I am still undergoing training to perform duties of a medical assistant and scribe such as completing truck driver exams required by the Department of Transportation (DOT), drug and alcohol testing, patient intake, triage, treatment in worker 's compensation, observing Dr. Lemus perform physical therapy, and assisting in minor surgeries. Even though I have recently began working here, I have been challenged by different patient level of disease, recommendation compliance, and medical pathology. 2. I also have been going to LA Fitness and doing full body workouts 3-4 days a week. 5. Describe the role you play in your immediate family. (Response limited to 800 characters) As an only child, I grew up in a loving and motivational milieu. My aspirations were fueled by my inclination for achievement and yearning personal fulfillment. Being said, I would say that I play the role of the youngest family member (son) of the current generation who is academically driven to promote a healthy lifestyle. For instance, I do my best to suggest and apply healthy food choices in particular to my mother 's diabetes type II diet as well as motivate her to perform light to moderate exercises throughout the day. My father and I also exercise, each at our own pace, with the desired goal in toning our muscles and increase our respective basal metabolic rate. I feel fortunate to live close to several businesses that are walking distance such as the Auto Row, authentic restaurants, banks, shopping centers, entertainment, and much more. Socioeconomically, the car dealerships have been the highest contributor to the city 's economy in addition to mixed-used buildings that have opened up to provide residents a place to live coupled with jobs for the workforce. I believe that the effective crime education given by the Alhambra Police Department has increased the efficiency it preventing anticipated crime now that they promote positive relationships with the community they serve. I am aware that Alhambra is growing due to all the construction and innovation I perceive. 8. (Response limited to 800 characters) From research experience, I know that the World Health Organization (WHO) conveys particular social determinants as the underlying issues to understand when driving general population health. Some factors to consider are what people are born into, raised, work, and enter old age. The access to healthcare is dependent based on the variation of these conditions. Luckily, in my city, haven 't seen underserved communities since residents ' voices and needs are not overlooked, but rather acknowledged. For instance, my immediate family is below the poverty threshold for CA, but we feel that we are not underserved due to having adequate access to healthcare. However, my job exposes me to unhappy Access Services transportation Appellants due their transportation services being limited or cancelled. 9. The quality of care plays an essential role in exhibiting health status differences in the U.S. Less education in the underserved communities influences how the respective patients will be receptive to treatment. For example, a naïve patient may be taking a particular antibiotic prescribed for 3 times a day for 7 days. The patient may feel normal after the 3rd day, but is unaware of the notorious ability for bacteria to gain resistance and the patient 's condition may worsen.
