While students without grit procrastinate, the students who have determination get the work done for their courses. These determined students learn or are taught how grit works. Most of these students take courses that challenge their learning abilities. Because of this, they become mentally stronger and sometimes are able to do better work. However, the students who are enrolled in basic classes do not have to necessarily work as hard, because their courses do not require them to.
Although, some students that take basic classes may have as much grit as students in more advanced classes. Leading problems with this situation may end in failure of the harder classes once attending college. Because college courses are typically more challenging, the students need to be able to focus on the main priorities that the professor may require. Unlike a student with grit, these students may get off task and procrastinate on their school work. While two students may have the same grade point average (GPA), once in college, the student with more grit could possible maintain a higher
