I Am A Family Values Essay

I believe in family values. We never realize how important family is or how much our family is willing to do to help each other out until something bad happens. Unfortunately, it was way too late when my family and I realized the importance of having a good relationship with each other. I grew up in a home with six brothers and two sisters. I was never really interested in hanging out with my brothers because they did not like the same things I did. My oldest sister Estela is 14 years older than me so I was never able to get to know who she really was, she was just “the oldest of the three sisters”. My other sister Rosanna is 7 years older than me. My family members hardly ever bonded, including my parents. It seemed like we were a family only because my mom gave birth to us; that was our only connection. Near the end of my sixth grade year, my sister Rosanna got pregnant and ran away. She went to work one day and never came back. She left most of her belongings behind. Nobody expected it to happen. We all thought she was going to come home that evening like she normally did but that night, when it came to be 11 o’clock, my older brother Ramon got a text from her. It said “Tell mom I’m sorry.” It did not take long for us to realize she ran away. Her suitcase was no longer in the closet so that gave us a big hint. I was angry. I could not believe she had done that and although she just saw me as an annoyance I looked up to her. I never let anybody know that, especially…
