There are certain scenes in the movie that are quite different than it was told in the book of Exodus in the Bible. The film displays a straightforward portrayal of the oppression of the Hebrews in Egypt (Finkle-Cox, et al., 1998). Some viewers felt that even though it was not totally Biblically accurate, it was a good movie. Other comments that were mentioned believed that it was an excellent movie. My daughter felt that the visual images in the movie were outstanding. Furthermore, the order of events in Exodus closely matches the origins and growth in abortion in America today (Deffinbaugh, 2004). The slaying of the Israelites started as a matter of national policy, just as the Supreme Court’s outcome unlocked the door to massive killings of the innocent unborn (Deffinbaugh, 2004).
