How Does Fear Negatively Affect Women's Lives

Fear in public spaces negatively impacts women’s lives, not only that but men’s lives too. For example, if a big black gay guy is walking in a white area and he may have a right to be fear because the white people easily can have beat him up or bully him. Another example, a lesbian may not feel safe in that area due to having paranoid if they are going to harass her or getting being yelled at. Most of the women tend to feel vulnerability and fear in specific spaces due to the threat of potential violence, assault, or harassment. Men have the opportunity to see women as vulnerable. Men’s identities tend to dictate the youthful badass or the chivalrous man. The reason women are perceived fears relating to others’ perception is because of their emotions, not only that but gendered power relations. I have interviewed several friends. Ben didn’t care what people think about him being gay or going to the gayborhood. He stays true to himself. Yvette will always be perceived by surrounding people or where her kids will be at.
