After listening and watching Scott Jones life experience with how fear and intolerance were present in throughout his life, I looked through my life and observed I have also had a time fear showed up for me.
How does fear show up for me in social work journey
Social workers deal with unique situations every time. Every person is unique, their problems are unique. When I receive a new case I feel a kind of fear whether I will be able to provide best service to my client as over load of case reduce quality of service. Other fear is of maintaining code of ethics, as dual relation with clients, breaching confidentiality and discrimination can happen anytime in my profession. Other fears that always stays with me is about break up of family relationship: long working hours, stress and missing out on valuable family time put increased pressure on me .
