Stopping at a red light, many times there will be a homeless veteran asking for loose change because he is hungry, needs medical attention, or has no financial aid. There are many people who will go against helping more homeless veterans. The major opposing view is the state government. The state government will not want to spend thousands of dollars on a new organization. In addition, they will only be providing for the veterans with financial aid, medical attention, therapy, food, shelter, and maybe even a job. Although there are already over two-thousand homeless veteran shelters/organizations across the country, this organization will outweigh all the organizations. Even though the Department of Veterans Affairs already does a great job providing for the veterans, it does not hurt to advance it.The goal of the VA should be to literally have no veteran without a place to call home. For example, the main reason why veterans become homeless is because they come back with mental issues, the main disorders are PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder), anxiety attacks, and physical disorder for the veterans who were wounded during battle. After witnessing a terrifying attack, many times someone becomes paranoid and becomes stressed. How is a veteran supposed to find a job with a mental issue or a physical disorder. My solution will allow these veterans to get the therapy and financial aid that they truly deserve. My solution is superior to the counter argument because its goal is to completely annihilate the homeless veteran population. By the year 2020, homeless veterans will be back at home and living a new and better life. For instance, the organization can help these men and women get a job. Even if it is something small, anything to help them get back on their feet. Many veterans can even get a chance to find a job at the actual organization. This organization will also benefit regular citizens by providing jobs to therapists, doctors, cooks, technicians, janitors, etc. Even though this organization might be a little pricy, it will pay off in the long run. People will see America as an even superior country. For example, men and women will begin to see the health care system that these veterans will be provided with and
