I sat in the front seat as the officer drove down Broadway to Santa Maria High School to pick up Roberto. The officer got out of the car to pick up Roberto to drive us down to deportation. As we got to deportation Roberto and I wondered what will we do next. When the officer called us down to get of the white van he told me and Roberto, "Do you guys have any family here?" Roberto started to panic a little because he did not know what to say while I was behind Roberto trying not to panic too. Once we entered the building mama and papa were here too! Me and Roberto ran to them to make sure they were okay. When the officers called us down, they said "We don't have another choice but to deport you ,without papers we can't really do much." When me and the rest of my family were packing our belongings me and Roberto were wondering when will we ever be able to come back to California. On our way back to Mexico we were all wondering about how long it would take us to get our Visa's to come back to California, we all thought it would take about 3 years to get them, I knew I couldn't wait that long I really wanted to go to school to study more English and learn new things. As Roberto continued driving I got a little hungry and started to crave mama's "Tacos de frijoles", I asked mama for one taco, but instead we stopped on the side of the street to eat our tacos. When we all finished eating our meal Roberto continued driving while mama was talking with papa in the back of our "Carcachita". Later that evening when all of my little brothers were sleeping, I asked Roberto to take a break and get some rest.
