Personal Narrative: Coming To The United States

Everyone is unique in a different way and being different is such a beautiful thing. I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. I have worked as hard as I can to successed and chase my dreams here in America. As time has passed, I have discovered what I love and what I want to do in life. All I need is encoragement and support; I know I could make it. I came to the United States when I was a couple months old and then I went back to Mexico with my mom, because my grandma was really sick. I came back to America when I was around 3 years old. At that time, all we knew was Spanish. My family really didn't have anything and when I was 4 I really wanted to go to school. I begged my mom to sign me up to a preschool. We had a car,but my dad used it to go to work. The only preschool around us was 45 minutes away if we walking. So my mom would walk an hour and a half everyday just to take me to school. She would never complain, because she wanted to encourage me to go to school. …show more content…
Those stories did inspire me. I wanted to give my mom something back for all her effort. I knew we had no money, so I could not just ask my dad for money to buy her a present. At a young age, I realized that people have to work hard to receive what they want. My mom would always say,
"As long as you have good grades that's the best gift I could
