In the book Animal Farm by George Orwell, a lot of commotion happened between animals and humans. The animals ran Mr. Jones out of the farm because of Majors dream, after that they made the 7 commandments. Little did the animals know that all of this was going to change over time. Also the perception the animals had shaped the experience and the actions they had on Animal Farm. I think Animalism failed because the animals let the pigs be in charge, none of the animals spoke up when they felt like something was wrong, the animals listened and believed Squealer.

The perception Napoleon had with this shaped his actions because he felt powerful more than ever and it also shaped his decisions that were somewhat bad for Animal Farm. For example, Boxer knew that the things that were happening were not right but he did not want anything bad to happen to him so all he ever said was “I will work harder” and “Comrade Napoleon is always right”. With boxer saying this, a lot of the animals went along with even though some of them should have spoken up when things weren’t right at all. Another example is when the pigs started acting like humans pretty quickly once the power got to his head, the pigs started drinking, the pigs started sleeping in the farmhouse and in beds, and etc. All the animals knew these things were wrong but never spoke up.So when all of this happened the quote “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss” comes in because the pigs turned into Mr.Jones and his workers. These are just some examples of none of the animals speaking up when they felt like something was wrong. Also this is just one reason why I think Animalism
