To begin with, I had great difficulty completing some sections on the FAB because I visited the classroom on certain days and for a limited number of hours, thus I was uncertain of how often certain events occurred. In the psychophysiological section, for example, I was not sure whether C.L. sometimes or never wet his clothes. Therefore, I had to ask his teacher for her input. Another challenge was completing the academic performance section because his teacher said that it was confidential information. Further more, it was difficult to know if he had recently changed homes because I was not in contact with his family.
Challenges with BIP Due to several factors, I was unable to carry out the behavioral intervention plan (BIP). Nevertheless, I have contemplated the possible challenges that I may have faced if I would have implemented it. Due to my limited time in the classroom, I may not have been able to observe and record C.L.’s use of the technique and/or his progress on a daily basis. Furthermore, C.L. might of had the urge to throw the stress ball at others, instead of using it to manage his emotions. Another challenge would have been to get his parents on board and to encourage them to practice this technique at home.
