Colarusso et al. (2013) stated that if behaviors become really bad during class time there are certain procedures and consequences that occur. Students who continually display disruptive behaviors on a daily basis should be considered for a functional behavior assessment (FBA) (Colarusso et al., 2013). An FBA is completed by a team composed of educators that have worked with and are familiar with the child. The FBA is enforced to collect data for a behavior intervention plan (BIP) (Colarusso et al., 2013). The BIP outlines the approaches that educators can use when working with the student to prevent undesirable behaviors (Colarusso et al., 2013). Principals and teachers are trying ways to be proactive when dealing with behavioral issues.
