During academic class periods, Garrrett will pick at his body until he bleeds. When asked to stop he will say that he cannot. This behavior seems to occur when he is in a large group academic setting, or when he is being addressed by adults.

The behavior often occurs to escape tasks. The student will talk out and disrupt the class to go to the learning support classroom to escape tasks demands place upon him. The behavior will escalate when the student is not sent. The behavior appears to be anxiety driven.

The behavior of concern occurs most frequently during academic classes in the regular education setting for an extended period of time, including some special classes such as music, computer, STEM, and library.

Garrett is missing
