I consider myself extremely fortunate to be working with such an amazing team and to be able to witness all of the different dynamics of an organization and how conflicts are handled. All of these experiences are extremely valuable in terms of my premedical experience since I will enter the medical field with knowledge of what happens in the organizational framework in the hospital and will be better prepared to address any issues that arise down the career path. I find it very fascinating that all four frames interact together. The symbolic frame provides the organization with the mission, vision and goals of an organization and uses the mission to design their buildings in such a way that it is obvious to people. The structural frame takes in the mission and goals and takes necessary actions to keep up the mission and goals. While doing this, the political frame comes into context where any conflicts that arise as a result of the structural frame, and finds ways to resolve the issues. Finally, the human resources frame overlooks all of the other frames, since it looks over employee management. The strengths of the cancer center include the ways in which they provide good treatment to patients and how they take research very seriously to further cancer treatments that will create a better tomorrow. Concerning the weaknesses, there are a few inefficiencies. The primary weakness is involved in the human resource frame in the cancer center and in the hospital. Employees are more interested in furthering themselves more than being interested in developing themselves at their positions. During these 8 weeks’ time, I have seen about 5 people resign from their current positions for other positions within the hospital. This seemed very shocking to me since they did not seem to care about what would happen to their teams once they left. This violates the mission of the cancer center since employees do not seem to be very concerned about the well-being of their teams. If the human resource team were to provide more incentives or more opportunities for growth within their position, perhaps that could stop them from leaving. This is one area that needs obvious
