Temperance is the idea that happiness is achieved by not depriving one's self of happiness, but not doing to excess. Virtue promotes happiness (eudaimonia) of both individuals and others, it's a state of well being. For example, one may show temperance by only taking two Halloween candies, when trick or treating at a home that offers unmanned candy to trick or treaters. The main idea of the book I choose the book “Act like a leader, think like a leader, by Herminia Ibarra, which is inspirational read for everyone who has a passion for leading. Ibarra, redefines the traditional leadership notion of “think first, and then act’’ by acting first and then thinking. She described The “Outsight Principle” which is the mine idea of this book. Through the implementation of the “outsight principle”, Ibarra believes that one can improve or develop into an effective leader. This principle attests that the only way to think like a leader is to first act it out and that is to come out of ones’ comfort zone by start doing changes and more experiences.…

You can succeed where others fail, if you understand the secret of this quote; “Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity”. This essay will attempt to describe the quote by Oprah Winfrey, a famous American talk show host and my opinion on how you can apply it to daily life creating opportunities for success. Opportunity for most people is often not present or not noticed, so ignoring those times of opportunity even though they can seem risky is the first behavior one must change. You must seize the opportunity, then act on it as the first step to increased success in life. How you actually act on that opportunity, as well being prepared to act on that opportunity are critical to the success of that opportunity.…
