Evaluating The Public Health Services For A Healthy Society And The Country ( Program Planning, N.d )
Under the HealthyPeople.gov website’s tab, “Implementing Healthy People”, five processes are listed under the acronym “MAP-IT”. Identify and describe these five processes.
What is MAP-IT? This agenda has been used through evaluating the public health services to accomplish Healthy People 2020 objectives. MAP-IT could helpful to a healthy society and the country (Program Planning, n.d). Healthy people effort is to re-create and re-visit goal every 10 years. Health care, cancer, AIDS, and access to smoking-current efforts, healthy people 2020, identified a few obvious, including those 42 subject areas, and may not come instantly to mind that some - food safety, health care-related infection , sleep health, social determinants of health. The Federal interagency working group set up more than 600 goals in 42 subject areas, and encourages the community to use them in order to improve public health in the region. In order for the community to achieve this goal, healthy people 2020 MAP-IT will use the framework to improve the health of the community called (Section 14, n.d).
There are 5 stages of MAP-IT that is mobilize, assess, plan, implement, and track.
The first stage is Mobilize, which is fundamental personal and organizations into a coalition. Most communities are already responsible for public health services and health departments and other government agencies (Section 14, n.d).
