Winston Churchill: How The Characteristics Of An Effective Leader

A leader is someone who influences others to achieve goals for the good of an organization. While many managers and program directors are leaders, this is not always the case. At my current place of employment, however, the program director is a leader. Each day, he motivates me to do the best that I can for the good of the company.
On a daily basis, the program director at my office exhibits many of the characteristics possessed by leaders. To begin with, he has the ability to process and analyze data in such a way that reveals patterns and information about the well-being of the organization. He is driven to perform at his best for the good of the company and has the knowledge necessary to make key decisions. His desire to fulfill his role as a manager and a leader is evident in his daily work. I truly believe that, without him, our organization would not be where it is today. While not all agree with his management style, this man is a leader in the true sense of the word. He exhibits a considerate behavior towards others and has a genuine interest in their well-being. His passion for the organization and his charismatic personality gains the respect of his followers. He values his employees and realizes that, without the continued effort of everyone, we would be unable to operate. He is also like Mr. Churchill because he is straightforward and does not hold anything back. He likes to paint a realistic picture of the organization’s situation so his employees can be prepared for any situation, good or bad.
