We’ve all heard about the preeminent political figurehead – the father of our nation – Gandhi who’s most endearing qualities were his insistence to always tell the truth, his disciplined way of life, his humility and his passion, who inspired millions through his non-violent protests for Indian self-determination and independence, fighting against the growing corruption, nepotism and terrorism; Saint Mother Teresa, the Roman Catholic nun and a symbol of charitable, selfless work who devoted her life to serving the poor and destitute around the world; Martin Luther King – a nonviolent civil rights leader’s inspiring dream to achieve greater equality within the United States by participating in peaceful demonstrations that protested the unjust treatment of the African Americans back then. These leaders all chose to embark upon a voyage to benefit their people and the nation, for the greater good. They all had one important quality: A Vision. This was the one quality that separated these leaders from their followers. They were willing and able to stand back and see the big picture.
