Have you ever thought about what life was like for your parents when they were your age? Do you think that America was a better place back when your parents were teenagers -- or do you think we live in a better America now? I think that the America I live in is better than that of my parents. Looking ahead, I want my kids to think the same. I think that it is my responsibility to help make America a better place.

Getting a good education is what I believe to be one of my biggest responsibilities to America. To me, it means doing my best, and getting good grades, in high school. It means taking advantage of advanced courses and activities that interest me in high school. In my opinion, a good education also means getting a college degree, allowing me to meet my financial obligations. It will

I feel that everyone needs to “pay their own way.” A way to do this is by paying taxes that support the overall initiatives of our communities and our country. I also believe that we need to be financially responsible in terms of our lifestyle choices. In order to do this, I need to have a job that provides me with the money to support my lifestyle. In addition to being financially responsible, I believe that I also need to be socially responsible to America. In order to meet this responsibility, I need to take care of myself and my family. I also need to look outside of my own family circle and give back to others. This can be done through monetary donations or using my time and efforts to assist others. America has and probably will always be facing many things along its path. Throughout this semester I have learned and read about some of the ups and downs of America from 1492 to 1877. Everything that I have learned has shaped the world in its present time concerning some of the same problems faced back in the day. It’s so important that the younger generations know what happened so that we won’t repeat or be ignorant towards what happened during that time. As a people, we are constantly learning about different things, even about ourselves.…

Bias reporting in the main stream media has grown into a National phenomenon, especially after the most recent election cycle. There is no middle ground and there are never two sides to any story. The term “fake news” is voiced over and over again by politicians and I can’t help but to agree. Before you dismiss my essay in the assumptions that I am out on a mission to “Make America Great Again”, I believe all parties are equally guilty. Reporting now will have you believe you are either left or right, liberal or conservative.…

Sometime, I believe the existence of life is just a tragedy. It is not what happening to my life or to those around me that effecting me deeply – it is the external forces that I have no control over or the inability for me to make a different to the situation. Every day, I see bad things happen in the world, especially the thing that happen to the innocent children and the unborn babies. Granted, not all babies are cute or healthy when they were born, but nonetheless, they are innocents. Why do they have suffered at the hand of the adults: the one that created them, the one that meant to take care of them, the one that support to sacrifice for them?…

“The America I Believe In” “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.” We say these words every morning that us, as American patriots, believe in. To believe is to have trust or to deem something to be real. I believe in an America that upholds the rights and freedoms of every gender and race, a nation that grows on success, and a country that never stands down even when we look at fear face to face. I believe our America allows the freedoms of speech, religion, and culture.…

There are people out there who would call themselves American. The real question is what makes someone American and how would you know. To me there are a couple ways that I would consider myself American and the first and simple one is that you were born on American soil (in the United States). Another reason is that if you look like you are from America and the last one is that if you have the freedom that Americans have. The definition of being American differs from each person that you talk to about.…

Throughout time, America or the New World has been thought of as a "promised land." In the past, Puritan and Colonial writers believed it to be this due to the blank slate that many different people can influence. Now, America is called the "land of opportunity. My Vision for America Many of us celebrate the 4th of July, many of us celebrate veterans day; during these days we are grateful for those who have served and those who have taken the ultimate sacrifice so their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, could grow up in a free life wear they can worry about homework and not about the things soldiers worry about when in battle. It's clear that veterans and soldiers love the country they are fighting for, but will they love this country the same way in 20 years? Many people have different visions for this country some want change, others want none. My vision for this country is it stay a democratic free nation, not socialist or communist, have this country be the number one trading nation improving our economy, and finally make the country's wealth fall into the top 20 percent not 1 percent. These things will happen due to the dedication of many politicians and people like myself who have these visions.…
