This documentary affected many people in different ways. If I could relate to any one of them it would be Marco. The reason I picked Marco is because he wanted to go to the military and when I was young I did too. Everyone has obstacles, but Marco goes through those obstacles. School is an obstacle that everyone has to deal with.
Most of the students struggle at home. They struggle with drugs and alcohol use. Most of the time the average amount want to graduate. Most of them gave up on their teachers. Only 25% graduate.
The majority of the students get along well. The staff and students work together to the students graduate. The teachers usually give the students help, but some students take advantage of that help. But since only 25% graduate only a few people take advantage of it.

I will have to keep good grades. I will make sure I remember my safety procedures. I will ignore distractions to stay safe. Finally I will stay away from all the horrible influences.
Respect to me is like doing what is asked and being positive towards others. When respect is given to you, you should give some back. Never take someone's respect for granted. Us as students need to respect EVERY teacher (yes, even Mrs. Wilson). Always give respect, even when they don't give any back.
My attitude towards life is a positive view. Many people have a bad view. If I had a bad view I would tell myself I can do anything. I otherwise know I can do anything if I try hard enough. That's my attitude towards life.
There are a multitude of things to learn from this documentary. One is setting goals and working hard to achieve those goals. This documentary has taught me to stay away from bad influences.
