The focus of this experiment will be on Spanish Speaking Latino parents and high school students. First, I will talk with different counties who can give me information about potential schools that I can recruit students. If the county agrees, this means that they will allow me to conduct this experiment with the high school students for the following year. The Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale would be administered after that. We will track this project for the following 10 months. We will continue to do the same. Check up with students, give mentors information to ask their student, provide information for the parents in their native language and provide college, work and interviewing information for the students. In every session I will provide students with different questionnaires depending on which group they are in. At the end of the 10 months I will gather information about the parents, students, mentors, grades, self-esteem and confidence and see if there was a possibility of decreasing the students chance of dropping out of school. I will compare the student’s information by using the Pearson’s R Correlation formula. The goal of this is to see whether there was a correlation with the parental workshops and dropout rates, mentors and dropout rates and parental information with student information sessions with dropout
