People express their tempers either internally or externally. People who have internal anger tempers let their anger eat them up inside as they repeat to themselves all the things that upset them. They dwell on these things to the fullest extent and to the point where it effects their quality of life and their own happiness. Some people overreact externally. They have a tendency to be verbally abusive and may even react violently by slamming doors, throwing things, stomping feet, yelling and sometimes even hitting something or someone. Both types of angers are unhealthy and can lead to unwanted stress if they are not treated soon. Solutions to reduce or eliminate anger are endless. Distractions from the situation can lower your anger level, drawing your attention away from the heat of the moment. Listening to music is a good distraction away from anger. Music draws your thought away from the situation and allows you to relax and lets your adrenaline levels go down. By doing this, your anger reduces and you are able to think with reason. Music is not the only outlet for distraction. Watching TV and doing other activities can distract you just as well as listening to music. Exercising is another solution to anger. Bring down your general stress levels with exercise and relaxation. Running, walking, swimming, yoga and meditation are just a few activities that can reduce stress.
