“ Excuse me!” “ Is she okay?” the little girl's voice asked.
“Yes, I'm pretty sure. I mean she's still breathing,” a bold voice said.
I slowly started opening my eyes. Straight ahead I saw grey and black clouds. I felt the heavy breeze move my hair in front of my face. My head was pounding, it felt as if someone hit the back of my head with a baseball bat.
“Dad! Dad! She's awake!” the girl exclaimed.
“Ok, I'll be there in a second. Let me just get the water bottle from the car,” the bold voice said.
I slowly and gradually started getting up. I saw cars passing by me so quickly I almost fainted. All the …show more content…
We’ll tell you everything. Just breath. So I’m Kate and this is my dad, Sam. There was a big storm in the eastern side of the U.S.A. So everyone was told to evacuate and go to Canada. That's how my mom got separated from us. So don’t worry you're not the only one who got separated from your family. Your a lucky one to survive, a lot of people are getting separated but aren’t able to survive,” Kate said trying to hold her tears back.
“Ok girls, lets get in the car and start heading to Canada before the storm catches up to us. We can talk in the car,” Mr. Sam said.
So we got up and I felt so much pain in my shoulders, legs, and my whole body. We got in the car and I tired to think what had happened with me and it hit me.

“I am sixteen and you are?” I asked.
“I am seven years old,” Kate replied.
Time passed by and no talked the whole ride. We all were just thinking what our life had turned into and if our family was ok. We stopped at three gas stations to get fuel and food. Every time we stopped I looked around hoping to find my parents. Sadly, there was no sign of them. After seven hours we reached Canada and found police officers that directed us to the station we needed to go to.
“I pray that we find mom and your parents there,” Kate hopeful said.
“I hope too,” I said looking back at her.
We finally reach the station and we waste no time and enter right away. As we get closer to the counter, we see children of all ages crying and adults depressed. Some of the adults were watching the news and on the news it stated that there was so much damage done by it. We get to the counter and Mr.Sam asks if there was a lady named Lindy
