Continuance Commitment:
Continuance commitment is the “need” component or the gain/loss of working in an organization. Continuance commitment is the degree with which employees realize that if they left the organization, the loss of it would be greater than the benefit. The perceived losses can be monetary (pay and benefits); social (friendship); or professional (might have seniority). If there is higher level of continuance commitment, the degree of attachment with the organization will be higher. The people will must stay with organization.
In this type of commitment develops when employees realize that “if they left the organization, they would cause losses. In this case the alternatives would be limited and they would think that the benefits

Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment
“A number of previous researchers have investigated that there are relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction” (Currivan, 1999:). According to Bateman and Strasser (1984: 95-112) “turnover intention of an employee depends on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. They found out that organizational commitment has an impact on job satisfaction”. Therefore, one of the components of organizational commitment is job satisfaction (Mannheim, Baruch, & Tal,1997: 1537-1562).
For instance, Getahun, Sims & Hummer (2008), Saari and Judge (2004), Lambert (2004), Malhorta and Mukerjee (2004) discovered “a positive relationship between the two variables such as organizational commitment and job satisfaction”.
In addition, Employees intention to stay or not to stay can shape up through the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of them. Both of them have direct effects on turnover intention of employees.
