I believe that Diana’s parents wanted to do what was best for her, but I do not think they believe they were a factor to her drinking problem. They wanted so badly to get her help and they didn’t want to see that they were the cause and reasons for her drinking. They refused to believe they could do that to their daughter they were in denial. I think in time they will come to realize they need treatment as well and will go through with it to continue a relationship with
