Dental assistance Many people would like to have a better smile. What is the dental assistance work environment, and how do they work? First what is a dental assistance, a dental assistance assist the dental operator in providing more efficient dental treatment, by preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding suction device, exposing dental radiographs, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns or “Dental assistants have many tasks, ranging from providing patient care and taking x rays to recordkeeping and scheduling appointments. Their duties vary by state and by the dentists’ offices where they work” (Labor N.P, 2014). The work invironment of a dental assistant is always working with human beings. A dental assistant is always busy with paitents in the hosipital or clinics. Imagine a four year old girl has been left with stainless steel crowns on every single one of her teeth after she made a recent trip to the dentist. The dental work had been necessary due to the level of deterioration on the child 's teeth. However, when the little girl wakes up from a nap, she was horrified to look inside her mouth which had been coated in metal. The dental work made her unhappy with her appearance and negatively affected her confidence. On a daily basis she would complain about her teeth.
