Everybody has a big dream, right? Look at me an all american high school superstar being scouted by the NBA. Henry Kidman the son of the poorest family in Dallas. Now about to be drafted into the NBA straight from high school. Now that’s what you call a dream.
High school finals, big day. Going against the rivals, Austin Wranglers. We played hard first half, 51-54 them. Second half I walk out onto the court and there’s NBA scout! You know what that means, showtime! No room for mistakes, can’t be stopped. Fourth quarter, clutch time, crunch time. 6 seconds left 98-96, them. I get the ball run as fast as I can pull up from three. BANG! The crowd goes while the speaker yelling.
“The high school champions, the Dallas Jaguars!”
All I can do is smile. I see the NBA scout stand and clap, I think I did it. After the game I’m walking into the locker room and I stopped.
“Good game kid, forty eight points is impressive! Think you could do it in the big league?”
“I know for a fact I can sir!” I say proudly.
The next week I get a call from an agent.
“Henry Kidman, be looking for name in the draft.” Then hung up.

Now the playoffs. We went through every team like they were nothing, until it came the finals. We were going up against the Jazz, yes that meant I was facing Rondae again. The first 3 games were terrible we lost all three of them. But the next three we won. You could probably figure what happens, next game seven. I was on fire all game despite the injury , amazing shooting ability that I got from my dad was really working tonight.
