My article had nothing to do with the guilt or innocence of the officers, it had to do with BLM pretending Alton was just a loving father who was selling CD's to support his family and la-de-da the Police shot him like a dog. Nothing could …show more content…
My response was "Alton knew of his criminal past. Alton knew he was not allowed to have a gun. Alton knew if the cops frisked him he was going back to jail and by the look of his arm length criminal history Alton knew it would be for a very long time." So knowing all that would it not be unreasonable to think Alton would verbally talk back, even physically resist the officers commands?
In the end I am sure the multiple videos will show that Alton was just as much to blame for his death as those two officers.
With that said, Alton did not deserve to die. Clearly he was under control and even if he was somehow he was trying to reach into his pocket to get the gun. Even if Alton had every intention of killing these two police officers in order to prevent another jail sentance. The fact remains these two police officers were on top of him and in a position to take full control of Alton. It's not hard to imagine these officers with all their training could not prevent an overweight, out of shape, obese man who had no formal training from reaching his pocket and his gun.
If Alton Sterling was on one side of the societal scale then Philando Castile stood on the other
