Let’s take a look at the real-life traffic stop shooting of an officer who routinely pulled over an individual on the side of the highway, “Sentence In Taped Cop Shooting.” Officer noticed bulging item from suspect during pat down, but before he could even think of drawing his gun, he was already being shot at. Excessive force was used, but not by officer, instead it was by assailant. In this recording officer could have used more than excessive force is possible, individual had gun, was a threat, became aggressive and uncooperative and shot officer within less than 3 feet away. No remorse was shown from defendant during or after shooting. (My opinion) This is when I think the suspect should spend a life sentence in jail.
