The ironic part of this related political cartoon was the fact that there were two people to represent the type of society we have. One half of our society is so oblivious to what happens around the world and they believe that the internet helps with everything, when the government can clearly see what’s being looked up. That half is represented by the man, in the cartoon, who had hold of a phone and was asking if the Statue of Liberty seemed different and he explained to the woman that he will look it up on google. As for our other half of society, they realize the power that the higher authority have over us citizens through our technology. This half of the american society is represented by the woman who was informing the man that he shouldn’t google whether or not Lady Liberty was different. The catch to this whole thing is the lack of freedom and privacy for the citizens who are a part of this country.
