My story about coping with the pain of loss started July 3, 2014 when my mom was killed. Let’s start the story when I woke up in the morning. I was asleep at my dad’s house when I woke up to my mom’s boyfriend getting back into his car and leaving. I was extremely pissed because I thought my mom had sent him over to check on me to see if I had any guys spending the night due to the fact that my brother and my dad were in Berkley. So I tried calling her phone over and over again ready to yell at her for what I accused her of doing. She never picked up her phone so I dropped it for the moment and went on with my dad.
I decided to take a shower and make some brownies for when my brother and my dad. They weren’t supposed to come until late that night so I thought it would be nice to have something for them to munch on when they got home. Plus, baking makes me less stressed out and less angry, which I was at my mom for trying to spy on me. I had called my dad to see how their trip was and he seemed to be the same as he usually was. But, later when I was stirring the brownie mix together my life changed forever. I honestly don’t believe my life will ever be the same again after that moment.

Everyone will cope with losing someone close to them in all sorts of different ways. Some are healthy and some are very dangerous to their well being. If someone you know is crying out for help because they don’t know how to cope with the pain of loss, be there for them and make sure that they know their not alone. When you get home, hug your mother, father, and siblings because you never know how long you have with them. Everyday is an open book, so make sure you don’t leave the pages empty and full of
