Meanwhile, the yearbook staff, minus a few stragglers, were up bright and early ready for what would make an interesting distribution day. The book, a surprise to all, was a secret hidden between four staff members for almost a year, was ready to finally be shared with the school. Although yearbook distribution day is one of the most stressful and exhausting events, it is as fun as you make it, and it was a blast. It all started with the plan. We were all supposed to meet in the yearbook room at seven that morning. I was tasked with getting the breakfast foods and picking up Sarah. With the food, I was apparently supposed to pick up a check from our school’s bookkeeper so I could pay for it, but I had not done so the previous day. Once we wrapped up the signing party, we cleaned up the gym and took the few remaining books back to the yearbook room, so if students did not buy one, they could still get the remaining few. As I was headed to my locker, after we had finished, Sarah and I heard an administrator’s radio go off talking about a fight. So, we ran to the front of the school, because I like a good fight. By the time we got there, it had been broken up, and everyone was just sitting there talking about it. And then, as I was walking out to my car to go home, there was another fight in the parking lot! Once I got home, I sat down, and looked at my yearbook for the first time. I finally got to admire all the hard work we put into

The textbooks were not what they seemed. Their titles were “Assassinations of the ages”, “Spying 101”, and “To get away with murder.” The open desk drawer revealed a pair of matching katanas along with other cds jammed in. The pictures on the left side of the clothes line were in black and white revealing the same girl on the right only with a family while on the right it seemed to show a change of date only by a few months only with different people until it reached Lilith. The scattered papers had headers such as “Mission #5” or “Successful assassination in Brazil.”…

Starting first grade I thought we were the top dogs because we got moved down to the bigger playground with the bigger kids. Since they knew we liked kick ball so much they built a kick ball diamond for us. There was just so much to do in the shortest amount of time. Everyday was a new day, I never did the same thing, whether it was playing on the upper part on the monkey bars seeing who could hang the longest or playing football with the guys. I can remember my first year at kickball I was taller than most of the guys because they haven’t hit their growth spurt yet, so everyone wanted me on their team because I was the only girl once again that was better than most of the guys.…

Soon after she received a detention for having no liability over her personal belongings, but afterwards Phyllis asked for the jacket back, which was kind of foolish of her because she just gave herself away and now Sarah is out seeking an apology.…

Praying that I had friends in my class, I walked in unsure if my legs were weak because of the anxiety I was feeling about who I was going to eat lunch with or the long hike I was going to have to take daily to Mrs.…

The second I stepped onto the bus, the waves of voices filled my ears. The seats were full of kids laughing, talking and listening to music. It was obvious that no one was paying attention to me and I was fine with that. I found an empty seat at the very front of the bus and sat down and then plugged in my headphones. As the bus pulled off, I leaned back and closed my eyes, lost in my music.…
