“How to Construct a Conversation”; and Thurman, Chapter 2 “Fear.”
In reading how to construct a conversation I learned that you need to follow a planned pattern set to be a successful counselor. By doing this you will be able to understand what it is the counselee is seeking in wanting to meet and/or talk. The first phase on constructing a conversation is the tone setting phase. In this phase it talks about using the correct responses and stages to get to the root of the problem. The next phase is the exploratory phase here is where you will make a commitment to explore a problem area in one’s life in order to allow them to find how to get the answers that are needed to the problem. The last part of the phase is the resolution. The resolution
