Have you ever been so drawn to your TV screen before? The temptation of picking up that controller, and turning on that game system to play a videogame, and “escape all of reality”? Well, then it’s the start of a video game addiction. Now what of the children or teenagers? Seeing a child carry a phone at the age of 8 years, constantly playing games, and being warped into their screens. Video game addiction is bad for us, because it causes increased aggression, health problems, suffering relationships, poor performance, and time consuming.

If you are failed to do so, it could lead to a life if problems, mentally and physically. “Physical consequences of gaming addiction include carpal tunnel, migraines, sleep disturbances, backaches, eating irregularities, and poor personal hygiene.”- Physical Consequences of Gaming Addiction Carpal tunnel can be described as chronic pain, numbness, or tingling in the hand, caused by compression of the median nerve in the wrist. If your hand gets injured by this syndrome, the best treatments are rest, ice, wrist splints, cortisone injections, and surgery. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome has had a very long relationship with computer and handheld gaming devices, so it’s no surprise that it is one of the physical conditions or symptoms of video game addiction. Someone who is always sitting in front of a screen for an extended period of time is more prone to migraines because of the intense focus or concentration that is required and it puts a heavy strain on the eyes. Backaches are the most common physical pain in addicted gaming, because most of the time gamers stay seated in the same position for many hours. These are caused by gaming addiction, because most addicted gamers don’t want to take the time to eat properly. However, in more extreme cases, the gamers goes many hours or even days without eating. Lastly, poor personal hygiene is a major issue, because the gamer is not willing to take his or her time to properly take care of themselves, so they would be building up their dirty surroundings and self into a very unhealthy
