In the famous Romeo and Juliet, some speculation has come up referring to the two young lovers. Many question if Romeo and Juliet had true and real love. In William Shakespeare's, Romeo and Juliet, Romeo's love is portrayed unrealistically because of his youthfulness, compatibility, and the length of time of knowing Juliet. In the play, his youthfulness, compatibility, and the length of time of knowing Juliet shows that Romeo and Juliet don't know if they are made for each other or if they are in love. During that time it was common for lust to be mistaken for love. Many people have married others based on wealth, looks and status, and it was common for love to be lost in the crowd. Juliet is so young that she never had a lover before she met Romeo. How can she know that Romeo is the one, or that she wants to spend every waking moment with him? Romeo and Juliet just met one night before they decided to get married. Their impulsiveness, youth, and timing show that they never knew their partner well enough to be in love. Romeo is getting over Rosaline that just a day ago, he said was his only love. Juliet doesn't want to marry Paris, which led her to want to marry Romeo so soon. Because of her unwillingness to marry Paris, she quickly “falls in love” with Romeo. Their impulsive decisions affect the ending of their “love” story. Romeo only knows Juliet's beauty, “Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight, For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night” yet he said that Rosaline was, “O, she is rich in beauty, only poor that, when she dies, with beauty dies her store”. Romeo falls into Juliet because of his heartbreak from Rosaline. They both use each other as a way to get out of their life struggles. Knowing someone for only three days cannot be made into love. They do not know each other the way they say they do Romeo only knows Juliet’s beauty and Juliet only knows Romeo’s Love for her. Romeo and Juliet’s parents do not show towards their children. Juliet being so young mistakes Romeo’s affection for love. The two so-called lovers kill themselves over each other, don’t even know if they aren’t meant to be.
