Sam is a security officer for ABC Corporation in the Phoenix area. He is always stationed at the security desk in the main lobby to greet employees and visitors. One day he observed an employee from the finance department muttering something under his breath and acting strangely as he walked by the security desk. He noticed this same behavior the following day. On the third day, there was a shooting in the finance department. I think that Harriet need to tell Ralph that his comments are not appreciated and it makes her feel very uncomfortable in a professional manner. If that doesn’t work, than Harriet should notify her Human Resource Representative and discuss the situation with him or her. Although, the contact was verbal harassment, there should be levels of warning, secondly, reporting, finally, having law enforcement and charges brought against the person. Notify the person will hopeful stop the harassment. If that doesn’t work, notifying HR will most likely resolve the situation and have penalties on the other party. Lastly, if neither procedure work, law enforcement and charges will definitely solve the problem and that person will lose. This will ensure that sexual harassment towards males and females in the same working environment will cease.
