A few years ago, Google launched Project Oxygen, a research and comprehensive program to compare and contrast key management behaviours and cultivates them through communication and training. It identified desirable management traits which it offered to its employees. It became so popular that employees later adopted it hence significant improvements in multiple areas of managerial effectiveness and performance.
After the review, Project Oxygen identified eight behaviours followed by high-scoring managers.
1. Be a good coach. Convey specific and constructive feedback on performance balancing the good and bad on top of holding regular meetings with your employees. This makes you identify your employee’s progress based on their strength.

The investigation carried out by Google has provided detailed information regarding the duties that are performed by the managers such as helping the individuals to reach the goals within the organization and their technical skills which would support the performance of the employees (Robbins & Coulter, 2015). Moreover, the communication skills of the managers have been assessed through Project Oxygen. Project Oxygen has been considered as the most interesting one because it helped Google to understand the potentiality of the managers and train its employees accordingly. The company would be able to make further decision in case if there is a need to hire additional managers for the projects to be carried out efficiently (Robbins & Coulter, 2015). It would help the company to improve the performance of the managers in such a way that they can take decisions during adverse situations.
