Suarez-Orozco, C., Suarez-Orozco, M. M., & Todorova, I. (2008) ‘Learning a new land: Immigrant students in American society’, Cambridge, MA: Belknap Press.

‘Learning a new land: Immigrant students in American society,’ is a book which gives detailed stories of young immigrants about their challenges and wants. This is an academic source published through Harvard University Press in 2008. It shows how even the children filled with so much hope for their lives and education could have their feelings crushed in no times with the way society is and how hard their lives of being immigrants is. This is a source that is relevant for my essay and I will be exploring the stories of those young children to find their main challenges and ways in which they can be overcome.
