Yes, before Dial-up Internet was even a standard. The presentation is presenting a problem that was around for centuries, but the digital age has made it more apparent that visual learning works so much better for more people that they may have realized. I did not know about the various learning styles until long after I attended a tech school that was based on Kinesthetic learning where after a 4-hour class, a 4-hour lab followed within 8 hours or less of that day 's lecture. We learn by doing after hearing and seeing examples. It was an entertainment school, so it was natural since it is focused on the arts, but the technology was a driving factor. Fast forward to today where I am returning to school for an online education, I can say that I still prefer the interactive learning with online tech solutions, compare to a traditional classroom. With distractions from other students while a lecture is being auditory delivered. There is little to no Kinesthetic adoption of the lesson besides writing as fast as one can write while missing some keywords being spoken and no ability to rewind the conversation. I was considered a special aid student when I couldn 't keep up with the other students in elementary school and stayed that way until there weren 't any special aid classes in high school. Throw the large problem on the board. Let everyone freak out. Then explain why the problem is even on the board by showing an image of what the math problem actually solves. If students understand why they are being taught something, then they will want to know how to take apart the problem, find the pieces, and then focus on each piece while seeing all the components at once. As they finish learning a piece of the math puzzle, then they will visually see how it all fits back together and the real world photo will match the math problem making the connection as to why and the
