Question 1 Suggest and describe THREE (3) actions that might prevent Bob’s resignation.
Losing an employee gives bad impact to the company. One of it is losing cost. This is because the costs of hiring a new employee include advertising, interviewing and also time consuming. That’s why, it’s important to make sure the employees stay in the company. To avoid risk them leave, preliminary step should be done. They are establishing mentorships, increase the employee’s remuneration and personal benefits for employee.

In years from 17 to 22 years old is known as early adult transition in Levinson’s Model. It is means the end era for pre-adulthood and the first stage in early adulthood. In this stage, this is when individual has identity crisis and role confusion. Individual also play a role and being start to independence. Individual also take step in relationship from component in adulthood stage and begin to take place in adulthood world. According to Levinson (1986, p. 5), this is the era of greatest energy and conflict of stress. The second stage in Levinson’s Model is known as entering the adult world in years 22 to 28 years old. This is stage where individual start pick their role, built their life in adult world and reaching a “senior” life position. Levinson believe that in this stage, individual will be given an opportunities. They will get a chance in any role and choice for their future. According to Sturges et al. (2002), other career authors stated that the development of employee commitment was supported by organizational career management. Therefore, the first step that organizations should do in managing their employee’s career is by understanding employee goals and aspirations. By this time, employees aren’t very sure about their future. In this case, organizations should explain on career path, guiding them to achieve goals and aspirations by giving tools and resources to determine career goals. Other than that, continue to support employee’s goals.
Another essential point is supporting growth and learning opportunities. Commonly, employees are improving and upgrading their knowledge and skills. Despite this, employees would find opportunities outside department or organization. On the other hand, managers should trust the employees about making decisions and by being a coach.
