Sticking to your career plan may be more important than just creating one. The reason why people often lose track of their long-term goals is that they get distracted along the way. While accomplishing the short-term goals, a person may lose focus and his commitment may also wane. In order to avoid these, there are a number of things that an individual can do such as writing down the long-term goal in a piece of paper as well as the short-term goals that go with it. The list will serve as a visual reminder of the things that the person really wants to achieve. Another thing that can help a person to stay on track with his career plans is to ask the support of family and friends.
