In modern life today, it is getting more and more difficult to choose a right career. Choosing a career is also one of the most important decisions a person has to make in life. According to a proverb, the early bird catches the worm, and it is certainly true when it comes to deciding our futures. In order to find a suitable job soon, we should have a defined career direction while we’re still at school. First, our interests and hobbies have to be considered. It is usually very easy to turn something we love or interested into our future work. There is an interesting question to ask ourseleves, if we owned a lot of money, what would we do? In my point of view, I don’t agree with that ideal because I think a satisfactory job is much better. However, I don’t object to the fact that we all need money to provide us a basic life. Money is necessary because it is used in almost aspects of modern life. But if people’s occuptions are only based on how much money they earn, they certainly won’t be happy and satisfactory in work. Everyday they have to keep doing the job that they don’t like although it give them a high salary and it is truly a nightmare. As a result, the more money people have, the more depressed they are. On the other hand, there are many advantanges gained from a right career. Firstly, it will give people endless energy and motivation to work smoothly without being tired or getting angry. They are willing to do more than they have to because of their passion in jobs. Secondly, during working, people will get their satisfaction from the knowledge they experienced , the skills they learn and especially the good relationships with colleagues and manager. Obiviously all of them are more important than a high-paid job. People tend to help the others and contribute something positive to their company. And the last but not least, people usually have more opportunities to develop their abilities to reach the goals they determined in work. For example, if people record great achievements in their career, they will gain …show more content…
In my opinion, I think passion, ambition , honesty and skill are the most important. First, people who are passionate about their jobs never work a day in their life. They can keep doing their jobs in a long time without getting bored. They enjoy the journey when pursing their own goals and gain happiness and satisfaction from them. Secondly, if people have a big dream they really longing to make it come true, they will do it by any way. Their way of thinking, their attitude in every problems will be changed. Obiviously, ambition is not only a factor helping people successful but it is also what makes a company innovative. In order to success in career, people also have to be honest. One can have all the talent in the world, but without integrity and authenticity, nothing great will be accomplished. No company want to hire a peson who is dishonest and untrustworthy. The last but not least, our ablities and skills can decide if we get the job we want or not. It is important to improve people’s skill, boarden their knowledge through working. A peson who have well- quallified will get the chance to be suceesful

When I volunteered over the summer at Baycrest Hospital, a senior residence centre, I was able to realize how programs, consisting of different activities that they provided for the patients, had saved them from living a life full of dreariness and endless fatigue. From what I have seen throughout my volunteering years (which sums up to 3 years by now), killing time was the greatest challenge of the day for most of them. For patients at Baycrest, and undoubtedly in other medical institutions, there is a certain extent to what medical treatment can do for them. They also needed time to be entertained and happy. I would often notice how smiles appeared on the faces of many patients, who were suffering from a variety of illnesses, and understood…
