The career of my choice has changed tremendously over my lifetime. Often it’s greatly dependent on what kind of activities I’m interested in at the time, as well what’s/who’s influencing me.
The job that I first wanted, when I was much younger, was to be a game designer. Since I can remember, I’ve always been a considerable video game fan, and I wanted to translate that into a career that would allow me to do what I love and be creative in the process. After a while I came to terms that it was relatively unlikely that I would be a successful and well known game designer so I dropped that dream. The next job to catch my eye was working as a graphic designer which occurred during an artistic phase of my life where I would draw ritually. To no surprise, my imagination snagged the better of me as I speculated that it would be intriguing to do it for a profession. That too was short lived. Curiously, I don’t know what it was about it, but abruptly it happened. An epiphany! For no foreseeable reason, I wanted to be a mechanical engineer. What an engineer did was beyond me, especially a mechanical one, but I trusted my gut instinct and when an opportunity arose to visit an engineering program here at CTE, I did not hesitate. When I came and visited for Step Up day, there wasn’t a thought of hesitation to come here or not; I knew it was for
